Nzatu Food Group conducted apiary management sessions with coffee farmer cooperatives in Mbale, Uganda. The Friends Of Mothers initiative, employs only women farmers in growing, and harvesting exquisite organic Arabica from Mt.Elgon.
With additional direct income from beekeeping, the indigenous Bagisu community can afford to wait for the harvest before selling their coffee, while maintaining the unique biodiversity along the slopes of the extinct volcano.
