How can education, research, and field action work together to protect biodiversity?
“Voices for the Wild” is a three-day event in Parma, Italy dedicated to exploring new models of international cooperation for nature conservation through dialogue between universities, conservation leaders, institutions, and civil society.
The initiative features leading voices from South Africa, including Matt Lindenberg, Founder of Global Conservation Corps and promoter of the Future Rangers program, and Orlat Ndlovu, Head Ranger at Timbavati Foundation with extensive frontline experience in wildlife protection and anti-poaching activities.
The program includes:
- April 21 – Public conference at the Aula Magna of the University of Parma
- April 22 – Academic sessions with students and experts at the University of Parma
- April 23 – Public dialogue and screening of Rhino Man at Cinema Astra
The event brings together African and European perspectives on conservation, addressing ecological, social, and economic challenges while encouraging knowledge exchange and the development of future conservation professionals.
Organized by the University of Parma and CUCI, in cooperation with Nzatu Food Group and the Southern African Wildlife College, the initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and conservation practitioners working in the field.
