Nzatu Food Group recently collaborated with CIFOR-ICRAF during the International Day of Forests exhibition, highlighting how restoration, sustainable livelihoods, and value chains can work together to support communities and ecosystems.
CIFOR-ICRAF, the Center for International Forestry Research and World Agroforestry, is a global research organization focused on improving livelihoods and protecting ecosystems through forestry and agroforestry research, policy, and practical solutions.
Nzatu’s vision aligns closely with this mission by supporting landscape restoration, promoting agroforestry systems, strengthening climate resilience, and improving rural livelihoods.
The collaboration also focuses on transforming restoration activities into long-term economic opportunities through the commercialization of agroforestry products such as moringa powder and oil, honey, beeswax, pollen, and propolis.
By building sustainable value chains, Nzatu aims to help farmers and indigenous communities benefit directly from restoration efforts, creating stronger incentives to protect and regenerate landscapes over the long term.
