Through the Trees For People initiative in Zambia, Nzatu Food Group is actively developing integrated pest management practices that work in harmony with nature.
A recent milestone includes the introduction of 200 Gliricidia Sepium saplings donated by the Chakwana Foundation. These trees contribute to natural pest control, help improve soil fertility through nitrogen fixation, and provide green manure that supports organic matter and moisture retention.
By integrating Gliricidia into agroforestry systems, the project strengthens biodiversity, improves soil health, and reduces dependence on synthetic chemical inputs.
This initiative represents a practical and scalable approach to regenerative agriculture based on local, nature-based solutions.
