Nzatu Food Group is proud to announce a transformative collaboration between the University of Parma and the Southern African Wildlife College (SAWC), facilitated by Nzatu.

This partnership unites cutting-edge academic research with deep-rooted field-based conservation practice, paving the way for impactful initiatives across Southern Africa.

About the Partners

University of Parma, one of Italy’s oldest universities (founded in 962 C.E), has long been at the forefront of scientific inquiry, environmental science, and sustainable agriculture. Its strong focus on environmental research, natural sciences, veterinary, and regenerative agricultural practices enhances ecosystem resilience and supports sustainable land management.

Southern African Wildlife College, established in 1996 by the WWF (WWF-SA), is a leading institution in conservation training and applied wildlife management. Based near Kruger National Park, SAWC has trained thousands of conservationists from across Africa and pioneered programs in anti-poaching, community engagement, biodiversity monitoring, and field ranger training.

What This Partnership Brings:

  • Collaboration on natural science, especially environmental science and sustainability education

  • A platform for integrating regenerative agriculture into conservation landscapes

  • Nzatu as the implementation partner, coordinating activities that combine field knowledge from SAWC with academic insights from the University of Parma

Together, we’re building bridges between continents, sectors, and indigenous communities—toward a future where wildlife thrives and landscapes regenerate.
