Nzatu Food Group and Afromed Association: A Powerful Partnership for “Trees For People” Initiative in Zambia

We’re thrilled to announce a significant collaboration between Nzatu Food Group and Afromed Association in support of Nzatu’s flagship initiative: “Trees For People” in Zambia.

On October 26, 2025, the Afromed Charity Team will lace up their running shoes and take on the Venice Marathon, not just for the challenge—but to raise essential funding for “Trees For People.” This initiative is all about preserving biodiversity, promoting Regenerative agriculture, and creating sustainable incomes for indigenous communities in the Namwala region of Zambia.

Why this matters:

Nzatu is establishing a 7,000-hectare Agroforestry and productive forest in Namwala, intercropping Moringa, indigenous Mukangala trees, and legumes, along with beekeeping initiatives—bringing both ecological restoration and livelihood opportunities to local communities.

Afromed’s efforts at the marathon will support biodiversity, combat poaching, and provide jobs, education, and income from farming and apiculture—all key pillars of Nzatu’s regenerative agriculture model.

How you can support:

  • Donate directly to Trees for People: Every contribution counts and moves us closer to a greener, more equitable future.

  • Share this cause: Amplify visibility in your network.

  • Join the run! You can even become a personal fundraiser—Afromed offers a Venice Marathon 10K bib and charity team t-shirt when you open your own collection page.
